What a month this has been. From April where I only managed to read 2 books to now, 31 days later where I have just finished reading my 8th book! Wowsa. What a change and a good one too. I read 5 books in Danish and 3 in English. Two of the books in Danish were review copies and the other 3 in Danish were a part of a Christmas present gifted to me by the publisher. So I’m glad I finally got to read them!
I’ve felt so much better being able to read again like I used to so this better continue and perhaps I’ll have made a solid dent in my tbr shelf. So let’s get a look at the books I read in May.

Looking for Alaska
by John Green
I tried watching the TV-series, but barely got through the first episode. I thought it was pretty boring tbh. Maybe I’ll give it another go later.
Trinkets
by Kirsten Smith
I also saw the Netflix series and really enjoyed that one.
Hvad SÃ¥ Hvis Jeg Er
by Janni Olsen
(So What If I Am)
I really enjoyed the exploration of themes and identities in this book.
Great book for any Danish YA reader.
Forbandelsen Over Laitana 2: Undergrundens Mysterier
by Sissel Moody
(Curse of Laitana – Mysteries of the Underground)
This book is a review copy sent to me by the publisher, Forlaget Klippen.
Danish review to come soon.
A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
by Suzanne Collins
This book was kindly sent to my by the Danish publisher, Gyldendal.
I cannot wait for the movie to come out. I’m so excited for it!
The Cruel Prince
by Holly Black
Read my review of The Cruel Prince
The Wicked King
by Holly Black
Read my review of The Wicked King
Sorcery of Thorns
by Margaret Rogerson
Let’s get a Netflix limited series or something for this one please!
Review to come.
What did you read in the month of May?
I’m glad you seemed to have a pretty decent reading month! I need to get around to reading Looking for Alaska as well as The Cruel Prince. I’m sorry you didn’t seem to fully love Looking for Alaska. I feel like I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews on that one. Maybe one day I will get around to reading it D:

I highly recommend you reading The Cruel Prince as soon as humanly possible 😄
Yeah it was just a whole lot of nothing for the most part. But it was a quick read as it was pretty short.

Oh my gosh didn’t realise Songbird and Snakes would be made into a movie! May looks like it’s been a good reading month 😀 Hope you have a lovely June of books! Have you read Queen of Nothing?

Yeah it was announced even before the book was released. I believe it’s the same director as Catching Fire and Mockingjay. So we’ll have that to look forward to.
I haven’t read QoN yet. I can’t find it in my local bookstores 😖 So will have to wait to order it until next month or August. But I am super excited to read it. I know it’ll be great!

Oh cool! Catching Fire was my favourite of the movie versions so looking forward to that. I hope you’ll enjoy QoN when you get to it, I definitely did!
