My most anticipated releases of 2020 1/2

2020 is well under way, I can’t believe January is over. I should have had this blog post up at the beginning of the year, but alas, I’ve been crap at posting lately so here’s me trying πŸ™‚

2020 will be a great year for books. A lot have already been published in the past 4 weeks, but there are so many more to come.

I’ve created a list of my most anticipated releases for the first 6 months of 2020 and I may not have caught them all (far from it) but here’s a couple of them. Please note, there may be one that does not have an official release date so whatever I put down is either from Goodreads or elsewhere. I will, however, try and put the books in order by release date (to the best of my abilities).

But without further ado, let’s get into it.

A Heart of Fierce and Broken
by Brigid Kemmerer

If you have not yet read A Curse so Dark and Lonely, please read on at own risk as the summary for AHSFAB will contain spoilers. The book is already released.

The curse is finally broken, but Prince Rhen of Emberfall faces darker troubles still. Rumors circulate that he is not the true heir and that forbidden magic has been unleashed in Emberfall. Although Rhen has Harper by his side, his guardsman Grey is missing, leaving more questions than answers.

Win the crown, save the kingdom.

Rumored to be the heir, Grey has been on the run since he destroyed Lilith. He has no desire to challenge Rhen–until Karis Luran once again threatens to take Emberfall by force. Her own daughter Lia Mara sees the flaws in her mother’s violent plan, but can she convince Grey to stand against Rhen, even for the good of Emberfall?

Eve of Man 2
by Giovanna and Tom Fletcher

No synopsis or cover yet, so up there is the cover for the first book and below is the synopsis for the first book. You can also read my review of Eve of Man. The book does not have an official release date yet, but from Goodreads it is expected out on April 16th. So fingers crossed that’ll stay put.

All her life Eve has been kept away from the opposite sex. Kept from the truth of her past.

But at sixteen it’s time for Eve to face her destiny. Three potential males have been selected for her. The future of humanity is in her hands. She’s always accepted her fate.

Until she meets Bram.

Eve wants control over her life. She wants freedom.

But how do you choose between love and the future of the human race?

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
by Suzanne Collins

There has definitely been some different opinions on this ever since it was revealed that the MC of this book is Snow. But I think it’ll be interesting, though maybe not the story I would have wanted, but hey. Let’s give it a go, shall we not.
Expected release date May 19th.

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes will revisit the world of Panem sixty-four years before the events of The Hunger Games, starting on the morning of the reaping of the Tenth Hunger Games.

So for now, these are the books I’m most excited about for the first half of 2020. I know it’s not a lot, but I cannot for the life of me think of any other books.
Please let me know in the comments, which releases you are most excited about these first 6 months of 2020. I would love to know because chances are I have forgotten some.
