Would you believe that another month has passed? That it’s April?!?! I think that’s insane and I’m sure there’s a time god somewhere, swallowing the weeks like they’d never existed.
Am I the only one feeling like this?
Anywho. I have a nice mix of differently acquired books; review copies, e-book, holiday purchases and normal buying coming to a total of 7 books.
After reading The Extinction Trials by S.M. Watson, I was itching to get my hands on the next two books in the series. So when the opportunity presented itself in form of a giftcard from birthday last year, to the local mall, I decided to use it on getting myself those books.
I also downloaded Obsidian ny Jennifer L. Armentrout because it was free on iBooks and I thought, what the heck, I’ll see what the fuss is about.. more on that in my wrap up.
Then I received an exciting review copy of a Danish fantasy book, Riluo by by Tina Lynge and what a beast it is.
Last week I took a quick trip to Belgium to visit my friend and also attend a concert with Mr. Disco himself – Brendon Urie and his ever-amazing Panic! At the Disco. And man, what a show. The last time I saw them was in Arizona in 2006!!! Yes, that’s right! I’m that old..
But on this trip, I spent a day with my friend in Brugge and of course she showed me the bookstores in town, where I ended up buying two books, Don’t You Forget About Me, a British romance novel and Two Can Keep A Secret (I enjoyed One of Us is Lying).
I also discovered that it is friggin expensive to buy English books in Denmark compared to other countries. An average paperback in Belgium cost around 11-12 euros whereas in Denmark, that same book would cost 17,4 euros.
It’s easy to see why I love traveling so much..
After coming home I received a gorgeous review copy of another Danish fantasy novel, Forbandelsen over Laitana – Den Magiske Sten – it’s absolutely gorgeous. It’s a re-release and the book has gotten a full makeover.
Here’s a photo of all my March books together. I will say that I am most excited to read the two Extinction Trials books. Because the story is amazing!
What books did you get during March? Which one are you most excited to read?
