January
King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo
I need more Grishaverse!
A Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer
A fairytale retelling is always promising.
White Stag by Kara Berbieri
(A Wattpadder who made it!)
This book was just released and I was lucky to get an ARC from Netgalley that I cannot wait to get into.
Circle of Shadows by Evelyn Skye
I loved her duology, The Crown’s Game
so I’m hopeful that I’ll enjoy this too.
February
On the Come Up by Angie Thomas
I mean, THUG was incredible, so I’m excited to read Angie’s next work!
Courting Darkness by Robin LaFevers
This just sounds great and look at that stunning cover!
April
The Princess and the Fangirl by Ashley Poston
I thought Geekerella was such a cute story.
May
Finale (Caraval #3) by Stephanie Garber
Gives me time to read Legendary, which I’m upset with myself for not having gotten to yet.
Books that have no release date, but I’m hopeful will be published in the first half of 2019:
The Exile’s Gift (Numair Chronicles #2) by Tamora Pierce.
The first book, Tempest and Slaughter was on my, probably, most anticipated release of the decade! And I just hope that we don’t have to wait as long for the second installment. Please, Tamora, don’t keep Numair away from me longer than absolutely necessary.
Eve of Man #2 by Giovanna and Tom Fletcher.
The first book was released in May 2018, so hopefully the sequel will follow along around a year later in May 2019, because I enjoyed this book very much.
What books are you most excited for to hit the shelves this year?
I loved a curse so dark and lonely, and can’t wait to read king of scars! Such a good list
