Best Books of 2018

It’s hard to believe that 2018 has come to an end. So much has happened this year and frankly, I’m excited for 2019 to begin.

In terms of books, it’s been up and down as well, but, thankfully, mostly up.

So, I thought I’d give you guys my best reads of 2018. This list will be in no particular order.

The Book Chatter’s personal best of 2018:

Ravnenes Hvisken #3
by Malene Sølvsten

This Danish book, the last in an exploding and thrilling fantasy trilogy about Norse mythology was my most anticipated release of 2018 and it did not disappoint at all. I hope it’ll one day get translated into English so more can enjoy this epic series. My full Danish review can be found here

The Towering Sky
by Katharine McGee

Another finale in an amazing trilogy was The Towering Sky I read towards the end of the year and I loved it! It’s Gossip Girl in the future and I loved all the drama, romance and intrigue.

Kingdom of Ash
by Sarah J. Maas

Another finale book on top of my most anticipated 2018 releases and Sarah sure does not disappoint her fans. It was an epic explosion of a finish with Aelin’s thrilling storyline finally coming to an end and also an epic monster of a book (just short of 1000 pages). It had to be on this list.

The Kiss of Deception
by Mary E. Pearson

The first book in the Remnant Chronicles that I’d been wanting to read for ages. So I bought the whole trilogy as a gamble, but it paid off. I loved this beginning to a whirlwind of a story and I was a huge fan of the way this first installment was set up.
